What The?!... Help!!!
Okay, as you can see (scroll down), Blogger seems to have banished paragraph and separate line formatting from this blog. I have been backing up my blog by importing it all into Wordpress. Last night, after I had done so, I turned back to Blogger and all the paragraphs had gone!
What have I done? And, more importantly, how can it be fixed? It must be something to do with the template, right?
Digger? Rob? What does a woman need to do around here to get free technical advice?
This is not one of those times where the woman doesn't want you to suggest solutions to the problem and just wants you to listen sympathetically. This is one of those times when she wants the problem fixed! Please? Pretty please with honey and sugar on top?
Lady in distress! Knight in shining armour needed. This is an equal opportunity position and female knights are most welcome to apply.
In the meantime, out of courtesy to my readers, I have fixed the top few by hand. That last post was unreadable enough without extra help from Blogger!

There you are!
Actually, it doesn't look as bad as you made it sound. And since my PDA does the exact same thing with old saved posts, I can offer very little in the way of help. But what I can say is that I still think you're pretty ;-)
If you have successfully imported, you're in good shape. I would not make importing to Wordpress a regular way of archiving and backing up, though. Try subscribing to your own blog via RSS and save yourself a bundle of trouble.
D.
I really wish I could help out on this but am completely lost myself.

Try to use the 'Recover post' feature in the edit mode and see if it gets the paragraphs back.
Warning:
May not work and
possibly your older version is worse than the current version. Experiment on one post before you go ahead.
Aaaggggghhhhh! Just the sort of thing I've been dreading happening. I've been having loads of trouble with Blogger lately - posts disappearing while uploading, comments going through twice (as you'll have noticed!) and I've been wondering what to do about backing up. I usually have my own stuff saved but I'd hate to lose my comments.
I wonder if Digger would just like to put that last paragraph into normal-person-friendly language? :-) Please?
Emily, have you tried restoring one of the affected blog entries from the backup version in Wordpress? It looks like Blogger somehow has dropped the special (invisible) escape characters from your original entries. These are used to indicate blank lines, paragraph indexing, etc. Perhaps your backed up version in Wordpress still have them. Experiment with just one blog entry and republish. See if that helps. We won't get mad if it doesn't! :-) Good luck.
I assume you've got it taken care of? Looks fine here.
There is one checkbox option in Blogger to change this, if that's what you were referring to.
Rob - You are a king among men. That was exactly what seemed to have happened, and it worked!
Digger - Yes, as Freebird said, please translate your advice into blogger-for-dummies so that I can understand it. But thanks for thinking I'm pretty :-)
FTN - What checkbox? Please explain! Could be useful for future reference.
All - Thanks for advice and sympathy
Emily, happy to have been of some help to a Lady in distress! Uh, so can you now please direct me to that "honey and sugar on top" that you promised! (evil grin)
Seriously, you have been a great help, as in fact you always are. I wish your daily life rewarded you more for being the lovely man you obviously are.
How about some curiously unsatisfying virtual honey and sugar?
*kiss kiss kiss*
Since those kisses are not "real", you can put them wherever you like! :-)
Just in case freebird is reading this, here is what I did to save all of my comments. It's very, very time consuming. But the way I did it was to coppy the entire post including comments. Then open a word document and paste the post in there. It's not the best way to do this but it's the only way I know of to do this.
To back up my post's themselves I now have my settings set email all new posts to my email address. Then I save them to their own folder set for back up posts.
I've been having problems with blogger myself. It has been extremely hard for me to add pictures to my posts lately. I have left comments on blogs and have them not show up. I left a comment on SR's blog a few days ago and it said no comments for 2 days. Really thinking about following Digger over to wordpress.

"Since those kisses are not "real", you can put them wherever you like!"
To which I'll blush and simply reply: "oh my - be still my heart!" ;-)
CH, I am, thanks!
